  We have stayed at Meridian Caloundra regularly over the past 10 years, and expect to continue to do so. We have also stayed in other accommodation, nationally and internationally, during that time. The following comments are written in that context. Firstly, Meridian is well placed: meals at surf club, pasta/ pizza takeaway, Italian restaurant, tavern all within 5 minutes walk, other eateries still within walking distance; swimming at the clean Meridian pool or 5 mins walk to beach or waterfront salt water pool; 5 mins walk to start of multi kms coastal walkways in both directions. Again there is a convenience store 5 mins walk away or you can be at supermarkets or central Caloundra shopping in a short drive by car. All apartments are well laid out and a comfortable size. Many have great views: the sea, beach, city lights, glasshouse mountains in the distance etc. The highest apartments have the best views of course. Meridian apartments are owned by different individuals, but are managed by Trevor and Cherie. Firstly, Trevor and Cherie are excellent hosts. By and large they do address guests’ concerns quickly. In particular, if you report noisy neighbours then you shouldn’t hear them again. If apartment appliances die, then they will be replaced quickly. This is why good on-site managers are a prerequisite for us, when choosing accommodation. Stayz, Airbnb just cannot provide this sort of support for example. Due to the apartments having different owners, quality of furnishings etc. do vary to some extent. Again, by and large, they are in good to excellent condition.
